Events/Training
NEMLEC offers training to member police departments at no or low costs in various topics. NEMLEC leadership prioritizes the training of all officers, and seeks out opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in relevant areas.
Middlesex Community College
NEMLEC has partnered with Middlesex Community College to deliver technology-related training at no-cost to NEMLEC police officers. The program, supported by a grant from the Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), delivers training in Microsoft programs, computer investigations, and other technology related course. Over 200 officers have participated.

NEMLEC has worked with different agencies to make training available to its police officers. In addition to Middlesex Community College, NEMLEC has partnered with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
NEMLEC chiefs also provide assistance and mentoring to new police chiefs. capitalizing on the experience and knowledge of seasoned chiefs to guide and assist newer chiefs.
